Let It Cool Before You Clean
Simple Steps for Effortless Cleaning
Use warm water, a mild dish soap, and a soft sponge to gently clean the ceramic non-stick surface without damaging the coating. This method helps preserve the smooth finish of the ceramic layer and prevents unnecessary wear over time.
Harsh scrubbers, steel wool, or strong detergents are not recommended, as they can gradually wear down the ceramic coating. Gentle cleaning is all that’s needed to keep the surface performing and looking like new.
Before washing, remove the detachable handles and wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Handles should not be submerged in water. Make sure they are completely dry before reattaching to ensure secure use.
Daily Cleaning Checklist
- Let cookware cool before washing
- Use warm water and mild soap
- Clean with a soft sponge
- Remove and dry handles separately
No Harsh Scrubbers
Soft Tools for Ceramic Care
To protect the ceramic non-stick surface, always use soft cleaning tools such as a sponge, soft brush, or microfiber cloth. These materials effectively remove food residue while preserving the smooth ceramic coating.
Abrasive tools, including metal scrubbers, steel wool, or rough scouring pads, are not recommended. Over time, these tools can scratch the ceramic surface, reduce non-stick performance, and dull the cookware’s appearance.
Ceramic coatings are designed to release food easily with minimal effort. Gentle cleaning is not only sufficient, it is essential for maintaining long-term performance and preventing unnecessary surface wear.
Recommended
- Soft sponge
- Soft-bristle brush
- Microfiber cloth
Avoid
- Steel wool
- Metal scrubbers
- Abrasive cleaning pads
Using abrasive scrubbers may create microscopic scratches on the ceramic coating. While these scratches are not always visible at first, they can gradually reduce the non-stick performance, make food more likely to stick, and cause the surface to become harder to clean over time.
Spotless and Scratch-Free Storage
Dry Gently, Store Safely
After washing, dry both the cookware and the handles completely with a soft towel to prevent water spots and maintain the ceramic’s beautiful shine.
When storing, place Gourmetific™ Pan Protectors between each piece to keep the surfaces smooth and scratch-free. For easier organization and extra care, keep the handles detached until you're ready to use your cookware again.
Sometimes the smartest solution isn’t a new technology, it’s solving a problem people have simply learned to live with. For years, cookware has been stacked directly on top of each other, causing unnecessary surface wear over time.
While scratches on ceramic-coated cookware do not release harmful PFAS chemicals like traditional black non-stick pans, they can still affect appearance and reduce non-stick performance. Pan protectors exist for a simple reason: there’s no need for your cookware to wear down when a thoughtful, low-effort solution can prevent it altogether.
Heat Tips for Handles & Lids
Using Handles and Lids Correctly with Heat
Gourmetific cookware bodies are oven safe up to 300°C (572°F) when used without attached handles or lids. Understanding how detachable handles and glass lids interact with heat is essential for safe use and long-term performance.
Detachable handles are not oven safe.
Handles are designed for stovetop handling and serving comfort, but they contain heat-sensitive components. The maximum recommended heat exposure for handles is approximately 160–180°C (320–356°F). Always remove handles before placing cookware in the oven.
When cooking on the stovetop, especially over higher heat or gas flames, keep the flame centered under the pan and avoid direct contact with the handle area. After cooking, handles can be safely clipped back on for carrying and serving.
Glass lids are not oven safe.
Due to silicone components, glass lids should never be placed inside the oven. After stovetop use, allow lids to cool naturally before washing or storing to help maintain clarity and structural integrity.
Using handles and lids as intended helps protect each component and ensures safe, comfortable cooking.
Right Utensils for Your Cookware
Protecting Your Cookware’s Surface
Wooden or silicone utensils are recommended for use with ceramic-coated cookware. These materials help protect the ceramic non-stick surface during cooking and reduce the risk of unnecessary surface wear over time.
Metal utensils are not designed for ceramic coatings and may cause microscopic scratches with repeated use, which can gradually affect food release and make cleaning less effortless.
Using the right utensils allows you to cook with confidence while maintaining the performance and appearance of your cookware. Gentle tools provide better control without compromising the ceramic surface.
Dishwasher Friendly Care
Care Tips for Lasting Shine
Dishwasher cleaning is an option for ceramic-coated cookware when needed. However, for maintaining the surface’s appearance and long-term finish, hand washing with mild soap is recommended.
Repeated exposure to high heat, strong detergents, and prolonged wash cycles may gradually affect the ceramic coating’s visual finish over time, even though cooking performance remains unchanged when proper care practices are followed.
Occasional dishwasher use is fine, but gentle hand washing helps preserve the cookware’s original look for longer.
TEMPERATURE CHANGES & CARE
Avoiding Thermal Shock During Cleaning
Gourmetific ceramic-coated cookware is designed to handle everyday temperature changes during normal cooking. The cookware body has been tested for thermal shock resistance up to 250°C (482°F), meaning it can tolerate typical heat transitions when used correctly.
Thermal shock occurs when cookware is exposed to sudden and extreme temperature changes, such as placing a hot pan directly under cold running water. While the hard anodized aluminum body offers strong resistance to thermal stress, repeated exposure to extreme temperature shifts can affect the ceramic coating and overall surface integrity over time.
To help prevent thermal shock:
- Allow cookware to cool naturally before washing
- Avoid rinsing hot pans with cold water
- Do not move cookware directly from high heat to cold surfaces
Following these simple steps helps protect both the ceramic non-stick surface and the aluminum body, supporting long-term performance and durability.
When cleaned with care, Gourmetific cookware is built to handle daily use without unnecessary stress on the material.
