Lemon Pepper Chicken Breasts

Juicy chicken breasts are seasoned with lemon and black pepper, then pan-seared until golden and finished with a bright, buttery lemon sauce. Simple, fresh, and full of flavor, this dish is quick to prepare and perfect for an easy yet elegant weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • Chicken breasts
  • Lemon pepper seasoning
  • Salt
  • Olive oil
  • Butter
  • Lemon juice
  • Chicken stock
  • Garlic (optional)

Season the chicken breasts evenly with lemon pepper seasoning and a little salt. If the breasts are thick, lightly pound or slice them to an even thickness so they cook evenly.

Cook until golden

Sear the Chicken

Heat olive oil and butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides and fully cooked through, then remove from the pan and set aside.

Simmer with lemon and stock

Prepare the Sauce

In the same pan, add garlic if using and sauté briefly. Pour in the lemon juice and chicken stock, scraping up any browned bits, and let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until slightly reduced.

Return the chicken to the pan and spoon the sauce over it. Cook for another minute to coat well, then remove from heat and serve warm. Enjoy your meal!
